Here’s a bit more detail on our process:
Initial Consultation
At CRG Direct, our first step is always to find out the information required to design you a tailored solar solution for your needs. As leading local solar panel installers, we always provide a bespoke service.
Solar panels can range from 6 panels to 24 for home needs. The amount of panels that would benefit you most will depend on your energy consumption and roof size. We’ll also take into account your budget.
2. Solar System Design
Taking all of your needs into account, we’ll design you a free proposal so you can get an idea of how much money you’ll be saving with your solar system.
We can talk you through your proposal if you have any questions. We put an emphasis on clear information so your decision is easy to make. If we don’t think you’ll benefit from solar panels for any reason, (such as your roof space is too shaded,) we’ll let you know.
3. Solar System Installation
Once you’re happy with your bespoke design, we’ll book a time to come and install the solar panels at your home. Keep in mind, most solar installations also require scaffolding, so there will likely be three dates we’ll be round - one to put up scaffolding, another day to install the system, and one more day to take the scaffolding down.
We may use Subcontractors for specific aspects of the work to be completed, but mostly our work is carried out by our direct employees.
Once the installation is completed, there’s little to no maintenance involved!
4. MCS Certificate and SEG Scheme
After your installation is complete, we’ll apply for your MCS certificate for you. We’ll send you your important things like warranties, MCS certificate, and manuals all in a handover pack.
With your MCS certificate, you can then apply to the SEG scheme. This allows you to get paid for any excess energy you export to the grid. We’d love to do this for you, but unfortunately, we’re unable to do this on your behalf!

MCS Certificate and SEG Scheme
We'll send you over your MCS certificate so you can apply to the SEG scheme and get paid even more for your exports.
